History of the Range Rover Vogue

While the Land Rover brand has existed since 1948 in some form or another. While the first prototype was developed in 1967, it was not until 1970 that the first Range Rover Vogue was rolled off the production line. Since inception, there have been a total of three Range Rover Vogue platforms, each generation more luxurious, powerful and innovative than its predecessors.

The first Vogue platform lasted from 1970 to 1995 and is commonly referred to as the “Range Rover Classic”. It was rather utilitarian in nature lacking most of the luxury features we commonly associate with the brand today.

1981 – Four door version was released helping to make it more mainstream than the two door predecessor

1986 – Lucas electronic fuel injection is introduced alleviating the reliance on carbuerators

1986 – First Rover Vogue Diesels are introduced

1992 – Air Ride Suspension is made available as an option on higher end trim packages (LSE)

1992 – A new high end trim package with more creature comforts is launched in the UK, dubbed the Range Rover LSE

1992 – Vogue 200Tdi turbocharge diesel engine is released

1994 – Vogue 300Tdi turbocharge diesel engine is released

In 2007, things got really interesting with the unveiling of Land Rover Special Vehicles first factory produced armored Range Rover Vogue. This new era of range rovers weighed in at 3.5 tons (standard range rovers weigh 2 tons) and offer everything you would expect including run-flat tires, internal oxygen tanks, reinforced fuel tanks, bulletproof glass and more. This line of Rovers has been specially designed to withstand impacts from AK-47s, grenades, flame throwers and most other small arms.

In 2010, there were minor updates to the external look and feel, instead Land Rover opted for a significant updating of internal technology. This update has been led by a fully configurable 12″ TFT screen which renders a series ‘virtual’ dials and graphical displays to show everything from speed to the weather conditions outside. Another unique option is a surround camera system that displays in the TFT screen showing you the sides and back of the car for switching lanes or backing up. In addition, 2010 improved upon a few other best in class features offered in premium luxury vehicles including Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring and Automatic High Beam Assist.

To date, the Range Rover Vogue stands at the pinnacle of Luxury SUVs, its nearest regular production competitors the Mercedes G-Wagen (G55 AMG), Porsche Cayenne Turbo S and Lexus LX 570 are all fine autos but they lack the history and class that is the Land Rover brand. In fact, the brand is so well adored the Saudi Royal family and the British Royal family both drive armored versions on a daily basis,

Justin Timberlake Hair Fashion

Justin Timberlake became famous when he was in the boy band ‘Nsync. They had several songs hitting the top charts for years. He is one of those singers who like to wear their hair short. A number of his hairstyles included the crew cut and buzz cut among others. If you want to have the same look as he has – well, not exactly the bye, bye, bye face – then you should consider having the same haircut as his.

His buzz cut makes him look younger through the times he sported it. It is a haircut that is easy to maintain especially for people with curly hair. This cut enables you to look clean, smart and sexy all at the same time. This look is best paired with the absences of beards and goatees to have that ultimate clean look which greatly helps in achieving a younger look. It is one of the most comfortable and ideal haircut for many male celebrities because of its style and compatibility with almost any age range. Because this hairstyle is quite simple and looks good with no need of great maintenance, it also means that you do not have to spend hundreds of dollars just keeping this look.

The crew cut is something longer than the buzz cut. The hair on each side is kept short but the hair on top of the head is maintained at a longer length than the sides. The average length is about two inches longer than the sides. You can style your hair according to how you want it. One option with this cut is sporting spikes. This is reasonably simple to make. Just apply some hair gel on your palm and begin spreading it on your top hair. Then run your hair through your fingers in an upward motion.

What To Expect At A Fashion Magazine Internship

The movie “The Devil Wears Prada” left many aspiring fashion magazine interns wondering if the interning at a fashion magazine is really the way it was portrayed. It may be a surprise to many but most of what is seen in that movie is not an exaggeration; after all, it was written by someone who worked for Vogue magazine editor in chief Anna Wintour.

It’s A Seasonal Position

Of course every magazine will have a different schedule. Top fashion magazines, like Allure or Marie Claire for instance, hire fashion interns for the season. Usually the fashion intern would start in late December or early January and work through May for the Winter/Spring season. If you impress the boss during your fashion magazine internship, they will keep you on longer.

You’ll Work Your Manicured Fingers To The Bone

One of the most accurate parts of “The Devil Wears Prada” was the long hours that Anne Hathaway’s character had to work. The amount of hours your scheduled for means nothing. Expect to work 12 hour days, maybe shorter, maybe even longer. Most of the work will be running errands, going to showrooms to pick up items, answering phones and emails, and organizing the fashion closet.

When your work is done a lot of times you’ll be asked to stay later until the fashion assistants are finished with their work. And it’s highly unlikely that you’ll have any interaction with the editor; at Vogue magazine interns are told never to look Anna Wintour in the face and not to look in to her office. The fashion assistant will be your boss, but that doesn’t mean they’re not demanding.

Enjoy The Perks

After you’re established in your fashion magazine internship, you might get the chance to fly across the country or perhaps out of the country, just like Lauren Conrad of The Hills did for her internship at Teen Vogue. Part of your work will probably include assisting on shoots and styling the models, which is a lot of fun for any fashion loving girl. And even interns are gifted with high fashion designer label items from the closet.

A fashion magazine internship certainly isn’t a walk in the park, but it’s a good test to see who can and can’t make it in the industry. And if you’re looking for a careers specifically it’s basically the only way to get your foot in the door.
